Where did you go to dental school, and when did you graduate? I graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1992.
How long have you been in practice? I started practicing in a General Practice Residency at Michael Reese Hospital and have pursued general practice associateships throughout the Chicago area for the past 18 years.
Where were you practicing prior to this transition? Since graduating from Loyola, I've been involved with family dentistry in the southwest suburbs where I grew up.
What is your practice philosophy? Right now I'm really interested in the connections between the mouth and the entire body --- there are so many correlations between medical issues and undiagnosed oral disease that we're becoming aware of.
What types of dental services do you provide? We're focused on conservative dental treatment with the goal of preserving as much of the tooth as possible, which includes crowns, bridges, dentures, restoring implants, Invisalign, and more.
Why do you love dentistry? I love the human aspect --- I'd be bored silly behind a desk! I love challenging the widely-held idea that dentists are scary --- it makes my job so much more enjoyable. And I love getting to know so many people.
Tell us about your family. I have 4 children ranging in age from 11 to 17 (help me!). My husband and I have been married for 19 years.
Do you have any pets? Yes! I have a rescued vizsla labrador named Lucy, and she loves to play dress-up.
What's playing on your iPod right now? Sting.
If you had a free day all to yourself, what would you do? Clean my house. I'm not even kidding.
